Our Story

OUR HISTORY

Rick Niklas started his insurance career in 1982.  After working at agencies in Mt. Adams and Fairfield, he opened up Interstate Insurance Agency in May of 1996.  Vicki Oehler has worked with Rick since 1990, and Jan Denham since 1996.  Interstate partnered with Huesman Schmid Insurance Agency the end of 2015, and have been calling their Harrison office home since then.  Partnering with Huesman Schmid has been a great relationship and given their customers a wide range of carriers to chose from for their insurance needs.  The office is conveniently located on Harrison Avenue at New Haven Road, so stop by when you're in the area.
